Our next trip, via Gatwick was for the month of May 2016. We took more Spanish lessons at the excellent La Jandalanguage school. Here an emersion approach is taken with hardly a word of English used by our tutor. The sessions are quite intense as we’ve never been in a class of more than four and classes have often been just Jill and I. Sadly, the old grey matter fails to retain enough between visits. Memo to self –must practice more at home!
One of the great features of La Janda is their organisation of social events including tea parties (see photo), walks and tapas trails around Vejer.
We continue to enjoy exploring Vejer and discovered the viewpoint Mirador Don Quijote nearby at the east end of Av de Buenavista. I’ve popped along here several times to photograph and enjoy the view of Vejer old town in the varied light of different times of day.
Mind you, watching sun go down from roof terrace is hard to beat, especially with comfortable seating and gin and tonics to hand!
